What is the Hosco talent snapshot?

We surveyed our candidates immediately after the moment of application to ask them one out of a series of five questions, based on the rationale of their application for that specific role. 

We asked them: 

  • What is your current employment situation?
  • How confident are you about getting this job? 
  • What was the main criteria that made you apply? 
  • Did you research the company before applying? 
  • In total, how many jobs have you applied for in the last 7 days? 

This snapshot gives us an idea of the feelings our candidates on Hosco have for the market, their potential, and their feelings for the companies they applied for.

Rather than simply tell you how good our data is, at Hosco we believe in sharing our insights with the world. So, here is an exclusive look at one of our latest statistics from this month’s talent snapshot, on employment status. 

Question 1: What is your current employment situation? 

What is the current employment status of a typical job applicant on the Hosco platform? 48% said they were currently unemployed, with the two biggest groups being those with 2-5 years of experience, and those with more than 5 years of experience. 

However, the figures also show that overall, 52% of respondents were in either full time or part time employment, with the same two groups (2-5 years or more than 5 years of experience) again representing the biggest share of respondents. 

What does this tell us? From our data we can see that the Hosco database has active candidates looking for opportunities regardless of their employment status - great news if you can reach these candidates.
