The Hosco Summit is a unique hospitality event, carefully designed to provide the perfect space for hospitality schools and employers to learn from each other and find new ways to work together.

When Will the Next Hosco Summit Take Place?

Like most local and international events, due to COVID-19, we had to postpone the 7th edition of the Hosco Summit – planned for June 2020 – until summer 2022. 

‘Why not run it online?’, you might be wondering. The answer is simple. Like hospitality itself, the Hosco Summit is about first-hand experience. The human interactions, and the connections you make during this three-day event – at the welcome cocktail, the lunches and dinners, the speed meetings, workshops, or at the closing party – can’t be replicated through Zoom. 

We are keeping the Hosco Summit as a face-to-face event. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year.

 

From 8 School Representatives to 150 Attendees!

The Hosco Summit started in 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland, to bring hospitality schools together to discuss their placement challenges over the next academic year. That first Summit, with 8 attendees, was so fruitful and insightful that year after, in 2015, it became a group of 25 attendees – from career center managers to deans and lecturers. 

Fast forward to 2018, with 120 attendees, the event has transformed into a global meeting point for hospitality schools and employers. It became an event where industry experts, from academics to leaders, met to discuss the issues and trends shaping the future of our industry.

The last Hosco Summit took place in 2019 in Barcelona at the emblematic modernist complex Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. More than 150 attendees from 60 hospitality schools and 50 companies, coming from more than 20 different countries, met to celebrate hospitality. 

The 6th edition was one for the books! Here’s what some of the attendees said about it:
